    GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES (GMPs) IN IBADAN, OYO STATE


    The workshop in South West took place on March 21st, 2017, at the Seminar Room, International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, ibadan, oyo state.
    Overview of Nigerian Feed Industry was delivered by Registrar, Prof. E. A. Iyayi. Other papers presented include:

    1. Opportunities and Challenges in Global Feed Industry by Mr. Atunbi, Olufemi Adebayo
    2. International Perspective of Food Safety by Mr. Adebayo, Babatunde Fola
    3. Hazard Associated with Animal Feed by Mr. Adebayo, Babatunde Fola
    4. Good Manufacturing Practices in Feed Milling Industry by Mr. Njoagwuani, Harry Ifeany
    5. Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point by Mr. Njoagwuani, Harry Ifeany

    After presentation and interactive section. The participant were grouped into 4 syndicate groups viz:

    1. Toll Millers & Farmers
    2. Commercial feed mills
    3. Research institutes/ Academics/ MDA

    The issues discussed by all the syndicate groups were:

    1. Hazard Identified
    2. critical control points
    3. Mitigation Plans
    4. Raw Material Receipt
    5. Traceability Steps
    6. Relevance

    Certificates of Attendance were presented by former Registrar Dr. G. O. Oyediji. Thereafter, Alhaji Salami said the closing prayer
